 AID INDIA is running a library program for children in 1600 villages across Tamilnadu. This library program has 3 goals:
Ensuring children get to access to interesting and exciting reading materials Using this access to: Improve reading levels of children with weak literacy skills Provide exposure to a wide variety of subjects
Using the library as a focal point to start Children’s Discovery Clubs – where children can exhibit their talents and learn new activities, explore a variety of topics and build skills and knowledge in areas they are interested in.

 In March 2005, we went with Priya Ranjan and Balaji Sampath to meet the members of the HBP (Hundred Block Program) Cell of the Bihar BGVS (Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti) - the President (Usha Sahni), General Secretary (Prof. Sachidanand), Treasurer (Asharfi Sada) and Dineshji. We discussed a lot of matters. The HBP Project commenced from June 2005. The following is a short report of the work done since then. |

A lady who was 4 month pregnant was brutally kicked at her stomach and lost the baby then, and she was profusely bleeding and was rushed to the hospital. she is struggling for her life. Another mother and her daughter jumped in the sea creak when police kept beating them and making them run towards the creak.
A women lost her barely a 20 day daughter, Kajal, as she fell down when police was chasing every one .
