Dear Well-wisher,
AID
Inc is a non-profit organization that brings together volunteers and
aims to empower the poor and the needy in India through projects in
literacy, health care, rural development and women's empowerment in all
the regions of India. AID currently has 41 volunteer-run chapters
across the US, funding and supporting 100's of projects and major
programs in India. AID has received a 4 star rating from Charity
Navigator, America 's largest independent evaluator of charities.
In this issue, we have an inspiring story of young Rohan from
Seattle, scaling Mt. Rainier to help raise awareness and funds for the
Eureka Child Initiative run by AID Chennai. We also bring coverage of
events in our chapters and also a project site visit, besides a sample
of recent projects that AID has supported.
Happy reading!
Warm regards, Volunteers, Association for India's Development |

From the Editor's desk...Three cheers for Rohan Paramesh!!
On behalf of all AID Volunteers, we'd like to congratulate Rohan
Paramesh on reaching the summit of Mount Rainier, which at 14,400 ft is
the highest volcanic peak in the Cascade Mountain range. Despite being
the youngest and the least experienced, he was one of only three
climbers from the original eight-member group who made it to the top.
