Shailabh Nagar joined AID in 1997 in the formative stages of the State College chapter. In 2000, he moved to New York and helped build up Asha's Mid Hudson Valley chapter and later, in 2003, restart the New York City chapter of AID. In each of these chapter roles, he was involved in project coordination, fund raising, awareness generation and volunteer building activities.
At an AID wide level, Shailabh has served as an editor of AID News and with project coordination activities since 2001. He was elected to the Executive Board as the Projects Coordinator in 2005. Since then, he has been helping streamline project coordination and financial processes, disaster relief efforts and increase AID's effectiveness in joint work with long term partners. Shailabh is a researcher in the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center working on operating systems and related areas. He lives in Westchester County, NY with his wife Rashmita and daughter Aditi.
