Visting Prof in several institutes in India and Europe. Joined AID in 1993. was largely responsible for initiating the Fellowship (now Jeevan Sathi and AJS) program in 98 to provide basic support to senior volunteers of AID-USA who were returning to India to do full time work , within a couple of years this was followed by the development of the Sathi program (approved overwhelmingly at the Boston Conference) in India trigerred by the realization that our horizons would get too narrow if we depended only on our own senior workers; active in setting up the Corpus Fund, was instrumental in pushing for Incorporation and indeed act as the agent for AID, Inc in the State of Maryland,initiated the Dime-a-Day fund raiser as a matching 1 to 3 collective effort of AIDers for support of JS program,active in promoting Peace efforts along with several sister organizations based on the fundamental idea of the shared heritage of all the countries on the subcontinent, provide occasional financial and in kind support to several organizations in India including several AID chapters. Serve as the local host to nearly all the visitors from India and am privileged that my house has been designated as a possible "head quarters" for AID, Inc. USA.
