Introducing Haybox in Orissa   Manufacturing and selling hay boxes can be a good livelihood activity for women in the villages and also supports bamboo weavers if the product can be marketed well. 

My Journey As a Chemical Engineer, I feel very much disturbed that the contribution from us has been very less [mostly negligible] to overcome such problems.

The project aims to strengthen minority women's as well as NGO's and women's rights activist's capacity in the area of seeking gender justice at domestic level and achieving appropriate dignity as per established human rights standards in the society. They should also be made aware of their constitutional rights while negotiating for peace and justice processes with the state machinery during conflict as well as non-conflict periods.

Key aspects of the Project:

  • Awareness generation among minority women and grassroots activists about their rights and to initiate the process of asserting themselves at domestic and public spheres.
  • Capacity building of grassroots women activists.
  • Para-legal training and legal awareness programmes.
  • Social awareness and gender sensitization of organizations.
  • Creation and promotion of Forum for Muslim women.
