M. Dhamodaran is the Program Head for community development, and Content Head for the language program at AID Tamil Nadu. He has been with AID for the last 9 years. He is the recipient of the PRATHAM 2006 achievement award. A self-made first generation graduate from a poor dalit landless family in a remote village in Villupuram, he is a major source of inspiration for volunteers and children alike. He has played a key role in developing the reading program of AID India. A terrific organizer, he has also been responsible for developing a strong field base for the organization across the state. Mr. Dhamodaran holds an M.Phil in Anthropology from Madras University.

Dharmendra Kumar started of a state coordinator of the "Joy of learning campaign" by the All India People Science Network (AIPSN). The main slogan was, "Hum Bharat ke bacche maang karte hai ki desh ke sabhi bacchon ko primary education mile aur shiksha majedar ho." (We are children of India and we demand that everyone in our country is provided with primary education and learning should be made fun). During 2004 to 10 December 2007, Dharmendraji coordinated the Hundred Block Program. He also coordinated people's health movements and Jan Swasthya Abhiyan at the state level. Since January 2008 he has been coordinating AID India’s activities in the Arwal district, Bihar. The main activities he was involved in were library, science, social equity, development and relief. He has a qualification of B.A. and diploma in pharmacy. But his education is non-formal. Dharmendraji’s main hobby is to learn new things and to teach them to others.
