What follows is meant to give
insight into some current movements and development work in India.
I have transcribed the talks from video recording of the sessions of the
AID-India conference that took place in Chennai, 2 & 3 January, 1999.
Not all sessions were recorded and some are incomplete due to technical
difficulties. Aside from some sensational statements which have been
omitted (but can be seen in the video record), the following transcript
is faithful to the spoken original. I hope the “live” quality is
conveyed.
