| VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE HEARD of TNSF –
so you can help us with publicity. One way is to help us have web
pages and all that.
Currently we have a web page at http://www.south-asian-initiative.org/tnsf, but that can be jazzed up a lot more. For instance, we could put a sample issue of Jantar Mantar there. One very concrete thing we have been doing is that we bring out magazines. That is better than bringing out a newsletter because that will only talk about our own activities. This expresses our concern with science, concern with children. Jantar Mantar is sold like any other magazine. Articles are brought together by volunteers of TNSF. It all depends on the quantum of help you are willing to provide. We have been facing a number of financial difficulties. The circulation of the English Jantar Mantar is 1000 but the Tamil magazine (not a translation but an independent magazine) is 10,000, because our network is with Tamil teachers. First we would like you to contribute articles for this, send other things like Jam was talking about. We would like your help with information mining – if you come across interesting pictures, artwork. We started with 6 issues a year but have dropped it to quarterly because we don’t have enough people to produce the magazine. And also we would like you to help us with sales. If AID could have somebody collecting US subscriptions for Jantar Mantar and distributing issues, that would help us a lot. Subscription outside India:
