Projects Database - FAQs


Q. What is in the database ?

A. All the projects reviewed by AID. The database contains information about the project, its status, which chapter is handling it, who are the coordinators, and the details of the project. It also contains information about the NGO from which this project was received.

Q. Who can access the database?

A. Anyone can view the project that are public. For projects that are under discussion, you must be an AID volunteer to see the information on the web. You can contact the project coordinator by e-mail for more information if you are interested in a particular project. All Projects can be viewed if you login to the database.

Q. Who should I contact for a login name and password?

A. Web Master (webmasterDELETE@THISaidindia.org)

Q. Can I get the information about a particular NGO or Volunteer in the database?

A. You can do a search for words. The search engine can be accessed from the AID main website or by loging in the database as guest. Mind you that viewing NGO and Volunteer information as guest may not give you all the information in the database.

Q. Who can Add information to the database?

A. ONLY Project Coordinators.

Q. Who can edit infromation in the database?

A. Only the project coordinator who entered the information. If you need the permissions changed contact Jitin Singhal

Q. Who can delete projects?

A. Nobody. Once a project is entered it cannot be deleted.

Q. I cannot change the name of the project.

A. Project name is an unchangable field. Contact Jitin Singhal.

Q. In what sequence should I enter the Data in the database?

A. Enter the Volunteer & NGO Name first. Then Enter the Proejct. Then enter the Status information and the Visit report.
